1917-2017 : against war, socialism, more than ever !
By opening up the debate on socialism, we will be able to better answer the strategic questions facing communists in France as in many other countries.
- How to unite the people against a bourgeoisie who always does everything to divide it ? Should we turn to the « 99% » of people or should we first organize some social classes ?
- In developed capitalist countries, do we need a « revolution » or can we change society gradually ?
- What name should we give to a post capitalist society ? socialism ? communism ?
- Is a peaceful way to socialism possible after the coup in Chile in 1973, the violence of the 1980s contracts in Nicaragua in 1990, the violence against the progressive government of Venezuela in 2017 ?
- In order to change society, do we need successive « stages », such as the « advanced democracy » proposed by the PCF in the 1970s ? Can socialism be built « at a stroke », or do it requires a long time as the Chinese communists say ?
- Is communism invalidated by the collapse of the Soviet Union, or is it necessary, on the contrary, to reconstruct a communist history of the socialist countries ?
- How to reconcile internationalism, solidarity between workers of all countries, and respect for national histories ?
Meetings are also the occasion for discussions with publishers, authors, journals and internationalist associations, for art exhibition, and music.
